Introduction

In the 1900’s the Felt family began caring for the villagers of Emporium. In 1972 the Felt family with the help from the Emporium Foundation continued the tradition of caring by opening Guy and Mary Felt Manor Skilled Nursing Facility. The Manor is a 40 Skilled nursing facility that is nestled in the heart of downtown Emporium, PA. The Manor is dedicated to assisting the elderly and disabled of our community and surrounding communities. Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies are provided to restore a resident’s lost functional ability. Our caring nursing staff ensures that residents get quality care in a homelike setting. The dietary department prepares homemade meals and the activities department keeps residents engaged and active. When combined the departments truly make Guy and Mary Felt Manor “Your Hometown Skilled Nursing Facility, Welcome Home!”

We are located in the heart of historic Emporium, Pennsylvania. Our address is: 110 East Fourth Street Emporium, PA 15834.

Admissions

Arrangements to have an individual admitted to the Manor can be made through our Social Services Department. The resident or the resident’s family will need to schedule an admissions interview with the social worker. At the admissions interview an application will be completed. The resident or family should bring the following items to the interview: insurance cards, Living Will, and Power of Attorney. The manor accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurances, and private pay funds as sources of payment. To schedule an admissions interview or ask further questions call (814) 486-4857.

Financial Management

Payment for nursing home care can be very complicated. There are a variety of insurances that may pay for all or part of your care. There are state subsidized options that assist you with your bill if you are uninsured or under-insured and cannot afford the nursing home cost. If you are unsure of your insurance coverage ask to see the business manager. He or She should be able to explain your coverage and our uncovered costs.

Social Services
Social services, besides helping families complete the admissions process, can assist residents and families with the following.
  • Facility Bed-Hold Policy
  • Room Changes
  • Advanced Directives/Living Will
  • Insurance Questions/Information
  • Community Resources
  • Educational Materials
  • Resident Rights/Advocacy
  • Discharge Planning
