Felt living is for people needing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) but wishing to live independintly for as long as possible. Felt living bridges the gap between independent living and nursing homes. People who reside in felt living are not able to live by themselves, but do not require constant care.

Those that reside in Felt Living enjoy their own fully furnished private room with a handicap accessible bathroom and shower.  Each room has a kitchenette equipped with an apartment size microwave and refrigerator.  Residents receive three meals per day, assistance with personal care, linen services, transportation and medication administration.  Housekeeping and maintenance are available as well as 24 hour staff assistance and an activities program.

Meeting the spiritual needs of our residents is also important.  Felt Living offers a non-denominational service every Sunday;  Also available to our residents are weekly bible studies, rosary, recitations, and communion services.  When the resident or family requests their spiritual leader, the facility will call and arrange the visit.

Felt Living has a fully equipped laundry room with washer, dryer, ironing board, iron and work table to fold clothes.  Laundry soap is provided at no cost, however ther is a monthly fee if you wish for staff to do your personal laundry for you.  Bed linens and towels are always laundered at no charge.  You are welcome to do your own laundry free of charge.

At Felt Living we provide three meals daily and snacks when requested.  All meals are served in the dining room restaurant style.  Each resident is given a menu and is given two choices for each meal.  Residents can also keep food in their room in the kitchenette that is provided.

Our facility provides our residents with medication administration for those who are not able to safely self administer their medications.  We use an OPUS system and encourage all our residents to consider this option, however the ability to self adminster is always and option.  We can not accept mail order medications with the exception of Veterans ordering from the VA mail order program.

Residents have the right to receive visitors for minimum of 12 hours daily, 7 days a week, however the main doors are locked for resident safety, so all visitors will need to ring the door bell located at the front door and staff will assist you.

A broad range of activities are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday (schedule subject to change)from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Our program promotes independence by offering activities such as but not limited to: picnics, walks outside, cooking, arts and crafts, special events such as: Birthdays, holidays, casino night, etc.

Felt Living is a smoke free facility, we do however offer out of door smoking in a designated area.
